Hey there!

I’m Julene Tegerstrand, a leadership coach, professor, and spiritual director who’s passionate about helping people find clarity and purpose in both life and leadership. With a PhD in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, my academic journey has shaped my approach to helping leaders thrive in their professional and personal lives. My dissertation explored Christian contemplative practices for women religious leaders, providing a unique foundation for my work in spiritual leadership and peacebuilding.

Over the years, I’ve taught Intercultural Studies and led courses on everything from dialogue to cultural competency and spiritual formation. My favorite part? Watching people’s perspectives expand as they dive into new ways of thinking and connecting. Whether I’m leading a leadership retreat, facilitating conflict resolution workshops, or coaching on resilience in leadership, my goal is to help you live out your true potential, while also keeping things grounded and real.

And when I say I know about handling challenges, I’m serious! I’ve led pilgrimages to Rwanda and Spain, where I helped participants learn about forgiveness, reconciliation and inner life of the leader. I also help run a nonprofit with my husband, Heart to Heart, where we teach nonviolent communication and conflict transformation—yes, even in prisons!
