Big News: I’m Taking the First Steps Toward a Dream for Spiritual Direction and Peace Education!

Exciting Next Steps: Creating a Space for Spiritual Growth and Connection

One of my current projects is taking steps to create my own organization as a container for offering Spiritual Direction, Peace Education, and Cultural Humility Training. I’m not entirely sure if this will remain a side project or grow into something more significant, but I feel called to take this leap and put myself out there. So here I am—stepping out in faith! 😊

The “bookmark” above is the business card I brought with me the American Academy of Religion- essentially the Disney World of Religious scholars meeting.

My aspiration is to live and lead grounded in my God-centered self, guided by God’s Spirit. I want to journey with individuals and communities who share this desire. I’m passionate about helping groups, churches, and schools experience spiritual formation that deepens their connection with God, themselves, and—most importantly—others. That “others” part is at the top of the list for me!

As Christian leaders, we’re called to be “in the weeds” of life with love. Learning to love in the weeds, or even among the thorns, is tough work—but it’s our work. How will they know Jesus? By how we love—in the weeds, in the briar patch (Julene’s translation).

To love well, Christians need skills to engage conflict constructively. I believe God has equipped me with some of these skills, and I’m eager to share them!

A Bare-Bones Website is Here!

I’ve started building a website at julenetegerstrand.com where I’ll be blogging, sharing resources, and communicating with others. It’s still in the works, but it’s a start!

As God leads, I hope to offer spiritual direction to individuals, couples, and groups. Spiritual direction has been a lifeline for me over the years and continues to shape my journey.

How You Can Help

Friends, could you do me a favor? If you hear of anyone looking for a spiritual director, or if you know a group that could benefit from a retreat or training on spiritual formation and conflict transformation, would you keep me in mind?

I invite you to leave a comment below that says, “Yes, I’ll keep you in mind!” Or even better, sign up to receive email updates by subscribing below. It would mean so much to me. 💛

Thank you for journeying with me in this season possibility. Let’s keep growing together!
